Had a surprise birthday song and hugs from the kids in my room...made a card too...was very touched! The kid in blue with the card is Benjamin...love him to bits! But i try not to show any favourtism! =)

A nice and warm birthday hug from my fav kid...Benji...after all the hoo ha...he asked me where the cake was and said that he wanted to have some too! Kids!

After Benji's hug, John decided he had to hug me too...knowing he couldn't lose out to Benji (Benji's best friend cum enemy..they have a love hate relationship) had to hug me too!

And soon a whole pile of hugs!

26 years

We celebrated my 26 years on earth with a totally relaxing getaway to a beautiful quaint little Bed and Breakfast at Mt Pleasant, about an hours drive from Sydney. It was run and beautifully set up by this lovely couple. They mainly cater for couples on their honeymoon or wedding anniversaries..so you can imagine that the rooms were all very cosy and romantic..beautiful...Check out their website for more pictures!

Our beautiful Mexican themed room...was featured on TV. Do you see the open concept toilet...must admit that i felt a bit strange doing a poo while eugene watched TV! Very romantic..

Our private courtyard, just outside our room...

Enjoying the sun set at our balcony...the scenery and atmosphere was just so surreal..beautiful...indeed we have a creative God...

A nice birthday meal at Chilli's...its a bit like a sizzler, used to be around in Singapore but it closed down i think. I wanted something meaty..the menu was pretty exciting and extensive...was hard to decide what to eat! Like my red beaded necklace? Decided to go abit funky, now that i'm 26!

An entree dish before our main meals...yummy..indulgence...

We had brekkie at a lovely place called Diggies just right at Wollongong North beach...what made it sweeter was that the breakfast was paid for...inclusive in our overnight stay at Pleasant Heights. It was the first time we felt totally free to order anything we wanted...don't need to look at the price!
Thanks dearest for that beautiful weekend..you made me realise how much care and love God has showered upon me these few years...and Thanks God for sustaining me thus far..help me to continue to grow in Your grace and lead the kind of life that You would be proud of...

My cousin Melanie came up to visit us and to attend the Hillsongs convention in Sydney over the past week. Being with her made us recall fond childhood memories and to catch up with new memories that i've missed in her life...It think we have a photo like this when we were 4 years old...hope you had a good break here Mel...

A photo at home with my dear cousin...it was a rare opportunity for her to be with us...

A yummy dinner of xiao long baos and dumplings! Lianne recommended this chinese restaurant that serves cheap and yummy food...It is as good as the Neil Road one in Singapore!

Dinner with Lianne, Mel and the guys at Chinese Whispers, it was a good time of catch up and fellowship. Don't we look so nice and colourful!

A cook for the day...

Yup...i cooked for my child care centre today! How come? Well...our cook has resigned for about 2 weeks now and my director has yet to hire somebody new so all of us have been taking turns in the kitchen! I am dead tired now...on my feet the whole day, chopping, stirring, boiling, microwaving and putting things in the dishwasher and taking them out! My feet AND back are aching! But it really was an experience and i was glad i got to do it! Quite satisfied with myself cos the kids really liked what i cooked...never thought i would get to cook for 90 kids!
