My Hair International

Finally found a hairdresser that i'm totally comfortable and trust AND am impressed by her skills too! Have been searching for the ultimate hairdresser for some time...and from a good recommendation i found one!...yup the salon is called My Hair International...a bit tacky...but its a Japanese salon and the ladies there are very very nice and friendly...they made me feel like a princess! The price was really really reasonable too...only thing is that its in town...so abit far! BUt other than that...i am a happy customer!

You got orange juice?

Today..at the end of my shift, i told the children that i was going home soon. They asked why... how do you start to explain to kids that i only work 8 hours a day...so i said that i was tired because i came early today and i had to go home now. And this was a conversation i had with Benji...
Benji: No..you don't go home.
Me: But i have to cos i'm tired already but i'll see you tomorrow.
Benji: I go to your home?
Me: Hmm...i don't think so cos if you went home with me then daddy won't be able to find you when he gets here later.
Benji: But i want to go to your home.
Me: But i don't have any toys at home.
Benji: Umm...do you have juice?
Me: Yes
Benji: What juice?
Me: Orange juice
Benji: Do you have Ribena?
Me: No, but i have biscuits!
Benji: Ok...then i can go to your home.
Me: Maybe next time if you ask your dad. Bye Benji...
This child just cracks me up...his mind is so intriguing!!

Moths Galore!

We have been having uninvited visitors lately...eversince the weather started changing. These visitors have made us prisoners in our own home and makes us cringe everytime they decide to stay! MOTHS! And we are not talking about small itsy bitsy ones that fly around harmlessly but these are huge ones and they look like cockroaches from afar! AND they come in droves! and settle themselves in the balcony throughout the night.
Thankfully...we have found solutions to deter them from being too comfortable in our balcony!
The change in seasons seem to invite different types of creepy crawlies...i think cockroaches are next to visit for summer!

A different kind of long weekend...

See that beautiful necklace? Another creation of my sister's...well done Mandy...really love the beads! We were at Glebe having brekkie and spent the morning at the Glebe markets...was a nice leisurely morning and managed to get some pretty interesting stuff! That's the thing about markets..its such a treasure trove of rare finds once you actually find something you feel so pleased with yourself! This was one of the rare Saturdays where we were not too pressured to go home and complete assignments!

Switchfoot...yep we managed to get tickets for this! Was pretty excited about it cos i think they really write such insightful songs and they are such a humble band...truely causing the masses to think about their temporary life on this earth. At first we were pretty near the front but after all the pushing and being overwhelmed by feelings of claustrophobia..we moved to the back. And the crowd at the back was so different much more matured and subdued! Really enjoyed listening to them but not so sure about attending such concerts again!
