Sand filled ears...

My silly billy Benji filled his left ear with sand today!! that silly boy...he was trying to dig it out but ended up pushing it further in...but we managed to get the sand out in the end! What next???

A picture of my family i took as a little kid! Pretty good for a little girl huh! Can't wait...cos my family is coming up to Sydney in 2 weeks time! yeah!! Can't wait to show them around...have really missed all 3 of them these few years over here...will be pretty lost when they have to go back...must tell myself to stop being pessimistic...sigh

Daybreak...

missing my colleagues...was looking through my wedidng photos and came across this one...my dear friends in Daybreak FSC..don't think i can ever find another place i was so comfortable in. It was such an emotionally charged job, listening to such sad stories everyday...but i never felt so right doing it. Somehow...we managed to relieve stress by saboing each other....fond memories...i still have that whiteboard drawing of all of you hanging in the hall way now!

assignment done

Yeah! really thank God for helping me through this one..it actually brought me much stress cos i felt the pressure of doing better than the last semester on this assignment. Actually took 2 days off to finish this one...suppose to write an essay on the changing family, this is an assignment from "mythology of the family" module. Tough one...cos had to really go through all the weekly reading first...which thankfully i've been pretty consistent with.
Its scary to see how the family is changing and how academics and social scientists have seen it as change and not decline...dunno what kind of social climate my kid would grow up in next time...hopefully in not too long a future! =)

PYJAMAS

We had a PJ party on Friday with the kids...its was quite fun having them all come in their PJs and us teachers as well! The kids reacted quite cooly towards us initially...think they were not used to seeing us without our uniforms and we did look pretty wierd in our PJs!
Strangely though...most of us felt like sleeping most of the day! Finally was able to download some photos of that day...now you will be able to see who Benji Boo is! He is the second standing kid from the right! John wasn't in the picture cos he wasn't in his PJs!

Congratulations!

Congratulations Tat Koon and Elaine!! Their little baby girl has been delivered yesterday! So happy for them!! And really thank God that both mum and child are happy and safe...mum is very tired though...but very brave! Hang in there Elaine! Wished i was back home to see little Charis....but i know That God would help you every step of this exciting phase of life you are going to take with Charis....a beautiful name...

a simple conversation

John is Benji's good friend, he is this big size Irish boy but equally cute in character! They have a love hate relationship, one minute they are fighting and the next they are the best of pals! John is going through a "why" phrase at the moment, and the following is the kind of conversation i have to go through with him each day!
me: John don't go into the boat cos its wet inside...
JOhn: Why?
me: Cos it rained this morning...
John: Why?
me: It rained so the water is all collected in the boat...
John: Why?
me: If you go into the boat you will get yourself wet...
John: Why?
me: (losing all patience) Just don't go into the boat John!
The best thing is...he looks really sincerely questioning when he says why...but no answer seem to be able to satisfy him!

The baby is coming! So happy and excited for my two dear friends back home in Singapore waiting with bated breath for their new little bundle of joy! Its just so amazing when new life is created and born...the miracle of birth and the power of the Creator! Awesome. Both of you are in our prayers and do put up lots and lots of pictures of Charis...lovely...
