Nina's wedding

Went for a beautifully intimate wedding over the weekend...wedding of my dear friend and colleague..Nina. It was held at a beautiful golf course and the dinner was in an old restored manor-like building. It was also a good time of catching up with ex-colleagues and new ones too. Congratulations Nina and Matt!

My last day in a little place called Kid's Academy

It was my last day at work last Friday...and i feel...SAD...in a bittersweet kind of way. This place has held many fond memories and learning experiences for me and has helped me discover much about myself and interests. I still remember my first day at work...being one that was filled with much trepidation over meeting my new colleagues, meeting the children and their parents...trying to cope with culture assimilation. But i thank God for the courage and the beautiful friendships that i have made...both with the children and my colleagues. Tata...Kid's Academy...a closed chapter in my life...

A visitor from Perth

Cousin Regina came down to Sydney for a visit the past week. It was a good time of catch up and trying to cram the sights of Sydney in 4 days! But it was nice to catch up with her life and was a good break for me too! She introduced me to very yummy chocolate chip cookies...yum...

Its making me itch!

We have had a case of head lice in our room today! We even saw the nit climbing down her face! YUCK! So we had to isolate her...and she was so bewildered over what was going on as she had to sit by herself for lunch and walk around with a hat on her head the whole day till her mum came, and she couldn't play with the other children too. She didn't quite understand what was going on, as she is the youngest in our room, and kept coming up to us for cuddles but she couldn't get any! Poor girl...but i'm going to wash my hair out with nit shampoo now! The joys of working in a childcare!
